Characteristics and applications of G-type gravel pump

Posted by Laura Shi (10 items)

The G-type gravel pump is a type of slurry pump and is used to transport slurry containing particulate matter. It is characterized by wide flow channels and good passing performance. Materials with large particles that cannot be transported by general slurry pumps can be transported by G-type gravel pumps. Gravel pumps are often used in dredging, sand pumping, river dredging, river sand mining and other working conditions.
The flow-passing parts of the gravel pump, namely the impeller and pump body, are made of wear-resistant high-chromium alloy. It performs well in terms of wear resistance.
The gravel pump has a single pump shell structure. The impeller generally has three blades. Its pump body and pump cover are connected by a cassette. The outlet position can be rotated at will, which is convenient for installation and maintenance.
The bearing assembly of the gravel pump uses a cylindrical structure to facilitate adjustment of the gap between the impeller and the pump body. The entire bearing assembly can also be disassembled during maintenance to facilitate maintenance.
There are three types of sealing methods for gravel pumps: packing seal, impeller seal and mechanical seal.
To sum up, the gravel pump has the advantages of good wear resistance, good passing performance, and easy installation. If you want to know more about the characteristics of gravel pumps, please contact us!
